| Inhalt | Psychology, economics, biology and neuroscience are converging today into a unified field with the ultimate aim of providing a general theory of human social interaction. Such interdisciplinary approach can provide modern scientists with a deeper understanding of mechanisms underlying human cooperation an conflicts. What are the genetics mechanisms of cooperation (conflicts)? What forms of cooperation are demostrated by animals? Are we doomed for conflicts? The seminar aims to stimulate a multidisciplinary discussion with the special focus on biological an neural mecahnisms of social interaction. The seminar consists of four focus: I. Psychology of conflict and cooperation (e.g. inter-group conflicts and cooperation, prejudices, prosocial behaviour, emotions in conflicts, etc.) II. Economics of conflict and cooperation (prisoner's dilema, reciporcal altruism,trading as a form of cooperation, etc.) III Biology of conflict and cooperation (cooperation of animals, the concept of selfish genes, biological market, biological foundation of altruism,etc.) IV. Neuroscience of conflict and cooperation (neural mechanisms of cooperation, prejudices an altruistic punishment, etc.) The course is held in English. A short introductory lecture from the teacher will be followed by student's presentations and discussions. | ||
