Inhalt The workshop will be given by Dr. Susanne Fischer, Senior Research Associate, Dept. of Psychology, Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy University of Zurich.

The aim of this seminar is to get you excited about writing up the important research you conducted and to make you feel more confident at all stages of scientific publishing, that is, from the initial submission of your manuscript to the final editing of your proofs. In the first part of the seminar, we will review original research manuscripts and you will be provided with guidance on how to efficiently write the results, methods, introduction, and discussion sections. This part will also touch on other types of writing (e.g., narrative/systematic reviews), as well as on issues such as authorship (AI!) and plagiarism. In the second part of the seminar, we will go through the publishing process from an editorial/reviewer perspective and you will receive background information on what these people are looking for in a manuscript. In the third and final part of the seminar, we will discuss best practices in scientific publishing and you will receive tips on where to submit your work and how to best respond to reviewer comments. This part will also include information on the scientific publishing landscape and on current trends (e.g., predatory journals, open science).
