Inhalt | Working in teams, participants will in an intensive effort write the two pleadings of 15p each that will be submitted to the current ELMC contest. Deadline for submissions is around Nov. 25th 2017. Furthermore, a maximum number of four participants will have the opportunity to register as the team representing the Europainstitut Basel in the ELMC competition. Based on the written submissions, the team may qualify for participation in the oral regional finals of the ELMC in early 2018. Should the four team members qualify for such an oral round, their additional work associated with preparing for the regional finals will be rewarded with an additional 3 CP (learning contract). |
Lernziele | Development of skills to author a convincingly structured and formally correct legal submission within a tight timeframe. |
Literatur | - The Moot Court case, upon which the course is based, is due to be published on 1st September 2017 under www.europeanlawmootcourt.eu. - Other materials will be discussed and partly distributed in class and uploaded on the ADAM-server. - Own research |
Bemerkungen | Some French skills also welcome for creation of requested French résumés of submitted pleadings. Important note: Participants of the first part (LV 19032) that are interested to join the advanced part (LV 35157) have to enroll for this on MOnA within delay as course registration is prerequisite for obtaining credit points! If you have any questions regarding the seminar or participation in the European Law Moot Court competition, please do not hesitate to contact Lukas Lusser (lukas.lusser@unibas.ch) or Sebstian Meyer (sebastian.meyer@unibas.ch) who will not only be hosting the seminar but will also be acting as your European Law Moot Court team coaches. |

Teilnahmebedingungen | Prior successful participation in LV 19032 European Law Moot Court: general part is a mandatory prerequisite to join this course. LV 35157 is open to a group of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of approx. 8 of the best qualified students of the seminar LV 19032. Important notice: Both Moot Court seminars deal with the specific issues of the published Moot Court case only. They are no alternate / substitute at all to class 10308-01 Völker- und Europarecht by Prof. S. Breitenmoser! |
