Content This colloquium is interdisciplinary and thus strengthens the dialogue between scholars in literature and linguistic studies. Furthermore, young scholars can benefit from discussing their work in this context.

• 01.11. Dr. Carolin Debray (Universität Basel): "Researching language and interaction in online gaming communities"

• 06.12. Dr. Julia Landmann (Universität Basel): "The Dynamic Lexicon of English: A Socio-cognitive Approach to Loan Processes and Their Linguistic Effects"
Learning objectives In the research colloquium of the English Seminar, staff members present their latest research to peers from studies in literature and linguistics. PhD students can introduce their colleagues to their projects and update them regularly on their progress.
