Content | A Diophantine equation is a polynomial equation with integral coefficients, in two or more unknowns. Given such an equation, number theorists are interested in the set of solutions which are integers, or rational numbers. This seminar will give an elementary introduction to the study of one of the simplest examples of Diophantine equations: equations defining "elliptic curves". |
