Content | This course is targeted at MSc and PhD students with a keen interest in research on tropical infectious diseases and disease vectors globally. It will provide a platform for a regular critical appraisal and discussion of peer-reviewed scientific publications. In each session, 1-2 students will present a recent scientific publication agreed upon with the course organizers and chair the subsequent discussion. All students will be required to read all papers and actively engage in the discussion. |
Learning objectives | To practice the critical review of scientific articles published in the international literature. To learn how to concisely summarise and present research papers and actively discuss findings and implications with peers. To raise awareness of recent publications with a focus on research related to tropical infectious diseases and disease vectors. |
