Jürgen Rotzler (juergen.rotzler@unibas.ch, Assessor) |
Content | The focus of the lecture will be on typical organic reactions used in industry for the synthesis of complex organic molecules (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API), Active Ingredient in Agricultural Industry (AI) and organic molecules in material science). The concept will be to familiarize the students with the theory of these reactions (mechanisms) and typical approaches used in industry to further optimize conversions, selectivities and costs. The theoretical part will be followed by interactive case studies where synthetic problems will be solved in discussions with the students. The lecture is meant for Master- and PhD-students. |
