Content The lecture series promotes scientifically relevant work in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. The lecture series aims to be of relevance to local, national, and international sustainability agendas, and it presents mono-, multi-, and transdisciplinary research on sustainability. Each week, an expert will present their current work in a sustainability-relevant area. The main characteristic of and challenge for each lecture will be to present sophisticated academic work to an interested but non-specialist audience. The presenters will come from the natural sciences, engineering sciences, social sciences, and humanities.
Learning objectives - Understand the multidimensionality and interdisciplinarity of sustainability
- Understand the contributions toward sustainability academics are making
- Appreciate the contributions of mono-disciplinary and specialized research approaches
- Learn to deal with academic approaches and texts that transcend disciplinary boundaries
Bibliography A script will be available at the beginning of the semester.
