Content Migration has become one of the most hotly contested areas of global politics. This seminar will historically contextualize key problems in international migration policy today including border control, trafficking, contract labor, asylum, and European integration. Students will approach each issue through both historical scholarship and contemporary social science.
Learning objectives This seminar will introduce students to the interdisciplinary field of migration studies and help them develop skills in group work and in historically-informed policy analysis.
