Content | This colloquium takes place in the form of a reading group. Participants will discuss recent studies in English pragmatics, with a special focus on pragmatics of fiction, improvisation, performed language and differences between spontaneous and scripted spoken language. This course is aimed primarily at the members of the research project "The Pragmatics of Fictional Dialogues in Improvised Performance", but it is open to anyone who is interested in engaging in discussions of the scheduled readings. |
Learning objectives | Participants will be familiar with selected research studies in the field of English pragmatics, and they will be able to contextualise the studies within the broader research area. |
