| Inhalt | In a combination of lectures, practical parts and an excursion to a local orchid site, the participants will get an introduction to the second largest plant family of the world, the orchids. The focal points will be: - Vegetative and reproductive morphology of the plants - Classification and major lineages within the family - Ecology (physiology, mycorrhiza, pollination biology) |
| Lernziele | The ability to describe the morphology of an orchid, to distinguish important orchid groups and to identify orchid genera of the Swiss flora. To have an idea of orchid ecology and to know different pollination syndromes that are present in orchids. |
