| Inhalt | This course introduces the main international legal principles for sustainable use of natural resources. We look both at the concepts of "sustainability" and at specific resource regimes to discover what states may, maynot, must, or must not do with/to natural resources. While this is not a general international environmental law course, many of the principles of natural resource use are in fact international environmental law principles. |
| Lernziele | Students should be able to recognize the main principles of use in those resources discussed in the course and gain an understanding of how these principles relate to each other. An ability to analyze complex problems of resource use by invoking the rules and norms of sustainable natural resource management is the ultimate goal of the course. |
