| Inhalt | This course will address current pertinent governance problems in the South. These problems are characterised by complex interrelationsships, heterogenous actors, process-dependent outcomes, and multi-level normative frameworks. The seminar will build on a case-based, practice-oriented approach, engaging with current governance problems and seeking to identify both the challenges of governance arrangements as well as dimensions of their sustainability. |
| Lernziele | - Familiarization with the different definitions and understandings of the concept of governance as utilized across both the academic and practitioners’ communities - Critical engagement with contemporary governance problems - Case-based understanding of actors and regimes of governance - Development of assessment skills to compare and contrast different approaches to governance, their different assumptions and implications |
