| Inhalt | The seminar is restricted to doctoral students. The seminar program will take place in South India (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu) from: 18 to 30 August (with an additional option for some more days). It aims at a better understanding of the complexities in view of Indian Christianity. Indian Christianity has a long history, dating back to early Christianity (Thomas Christians) and is later on connected with the socalled colonial enterprise (forms of Catholic and Protestant Christianity). Although an established variant of religion in India, Christianity remained a minority religion in a multireligious context. The doctoral seminar explores the historical dynamics of Indian Christianity and engages with theological concepts that seek to contextualize Christianity by hybridizing diverse religious and faith expressions. |
