Inhalt | The objective of this seminar is to write a research proposal for your master's thesis. Hence, this seminar is a pre-requisite for writing a master's thesis in behavioral marketing. The mandatory sequence of courses for a master's thesis in behavioral marketing is: 1. Microeconomics and Psychology of Decision Making. 2. Teilnahmebedingungen | To get admitted you must have passed the following lectures: · 31960 Microeconomics and Psychology of Decision Making · 12036 Econometrics · If the course 43498 Psychological Theory of Consumer Behavior has not been attended so far, you are expected to register for it in spring 2019 and to attend it. · While not required, 10639 Consumer Behavior is recommended. Ideally you first take 43498 and then 10639. Should there be too much demand, in addition to your performance in the above courses, we will give credit if you took 10639 Consumer Behavior, as well as to any other relevant course work, undergraduate or graduate. This includes: coursework in marketing, psychology, or statistics. Hence, you should apply with a list of relevant courses and grades. The master’s theses in this area are all empirical, and typically experimental. We presuppose that by the time you begin your thesis you have learned to subject your raw data to basic statistical analyses, such as, ANOVA or multiple regression. You are free to use any standard software (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS). |
Anmeldung zur Lehrveranstaltung | The application for this seminar is done centrally and online from December 3, 2018 until January 7, 2019 with the Studiendekanat. In case of non-participation after registration it will be noted as "nicht erschienen" in the transcript. If you drop the course after having been assigned a topic, which is after Session 1, you will receive the grade "1.0". |
