| Inhalt | What is science? What are the foundations for scientific knowledge, scientific facts and scientific evidence? How do social conditions shape technology? How do science and technology change over time? The interdisciplinary field of Science & Technology Studies (STS) addresses these and other questions to explore the ways in which science and technology influence our daily lives and in turn, are shaped by social, historical, economic, political, and other circumstances. The seminar aims to familiarise students with the key topics, questions and analytical approaches of this academic field. This course explicitly welcomes MA students from any background in the humanities, the social sciences, and the natural sciences. |
