Inhalt | This one-week intensive course covers introductory and advanced issues on how to analyze non-numeric data. While the primary focus is on the analysis of textual data, most of the covered methods and techniques are also applicable to audio and visual data. Examples of data suitable for qualitative analysis include interview transcripts, focus group recordings, print media, archival documents, government reports, corporate annual non-financial reports, blogs, meeting notes, diaries, photo collections, and social media posts. The first part of the course addresses the selection and preparation of non-numeric data for systematic qualitative analysis. The second part covers different groups of data analysis techniques. The third deals with quality concerns in qualitative data analysis, and the fourth with how to present and defend qualitative data analysis. The course will include examples and exercises that deal with different aspects of sustainability. The participants will work in groups on a small research project. |
