| Inhalt | This course is your starting point into the world of Blockchain and cryptocurrencies. We build a foundation that will enable you to understand this technology and see beyond the hype. The course covers elements from business, economics, computer science and cryptography. It consists of practical and theoretical blocks and offers a comprehensive introduction to various aspects of this fascinating topic. No programming experience required. This is an online course. All lectures will be provided as videos. |
| Lernziele | 1. You will learn how Blockchains work and what they can be used for. 2. You will analyze the economic properties of Bitcoin and similar cryptoassets. 3. You will understand the characteristics of public ledgers and open consensus protocols. |

| Hinweise zur Prüfung | Exercise Sets and Final Exam. written exam: 21.06.22; 14:30-16:00; DSBG Sporthalle: A-Z. For this exam you will still receive additional information by email. You would have to be on site at least 20 minutes before the exam starts. The addresses of the examination rooms can be found here: https://wwz.unibas.ch/de/studium/pruefungen/vorlesungs-und-pruefungsraeume/ The exam is scheduled in presence. If entrance checks are necessary for the exam due to Covid protection measures, the start of the exam may still be delayed by up to 30 minutes. In case COVID-19 protective measures prevent examination on site, the faculty reserves the right to conduct the examination electronically during the same time slot. |
