| Inhalt | The lecture series studies human’s history through the eyes of an economist asking a key economic question: What determined the standard of living across space and time? We start with a brief introduction of the field and specific methods. Afterwards we discuss how to measure well-being or the standard of living before we begin our intellectual journey through the topics of economic history linked to the potential determinants of the living standard. |

| Teilnahmevoraussetzungen | Basic skills in statistics, micro- and macroeconomic are useful but not a hard condition. Good command English. |
| Anmeldung zur Lehrveranstaltung | Registration: Please enrol in the Online Services before the course starts. EUCOR-Students and students of other Swiss Universities have to enrol at the students administration office (studseksupport1@unibas.ch) within the official enrolment period. In order to get access to ADAM in time, it is best to enrol before the course starts though. Enrolment = Registration for the exam! |
