| Lernziele | Many aspects of ecological research, environmental management, and conservation planning depend on information about the distribution of species. Normally, we have insufficient knowledge about the past, current, and future distribution of species, particularly for any specific location of interest. In this course, we will explore how to build and evaluate species distribution models, predict the (potential) distribution of species or suitability of habitat, and assess associated uncertainty of predictions using case studies motivated by problems from conservation and land management. |
