Semester Frühjahrsemester 2017
Angebotsmuster Jedes Frühjahrsem.
Dozierende Philip Greenwood (philip.greenwood@unibas.ch, BeurteilerIn)
Inhalt This five-day field trip is designed to offer a flavour of the physical geography of southern England. Due to the proximity of the region to the sea, coastal geomorphology, coastal erosion and the management of coastal areas in sensitive landscapes will feature prominently throughout the trip. However, a wide range of other topics will be covered, including the geology and geomorphology of Ladram Bay (see image above), the palaeontology of Lyme Bay and the land management of the South Downs National Park (SDNP). If time permits, we will also cover aspects of local history, sustainability, and explore links between English Literature, landscape and the environment.
