| Inhalt | This Master project is for students who are interested in the psychology of learning in risky judgement and decision making. A special focus of this project is on how people search for resources (e.g.; money) over time in risky decision environments. These types of tasks occur in both the animal kingdom (e.g.; a bird deciding where to look for food and avoid predators) and in modern financial decisions (e.g.; deciding which stocks to invest in). This research can have both strong theoretical and applied implications as it can help people to make better decisions. In this project, we will conduct a thorough survey of modern literature on learning and decision making and conduct several small research projects to test new theories. This should form the basis of people's own Masters thesis in the field of mathematical psychology. |
| Bemerkungen | Students should have a strong background in mathematics and statistics. Programming skills are also strongly desirable but not necessary. |
