Hinweise zur Leistungsüberprüfung Notes for the Assessment:
In order to receive 3 ECTS credits, students must
a) attend 10 out of 14 lectures/workshops,
b) write one graded comment on one of the posted papers in advance of the lecture/workshop (model comments are available for the master and the PhD level; see http://www.lawecon.ethz.ch/workshop-and-lecture-series/lawecon/credit-requirements.html, and
c) participate actively in the course.
The comment must be 3 pages minimum. Comments can be written in English or German. Comments should relate to one of the background papers posted for a lecture or to a paper to be discussed during a workshop. The idea is not to summarize the paper, but to either shortly comment on one of the issues it deals with or, to the extent it is a working paper, provide constructive criticism about points that deserve further analysis. Comments will not be discussed as such during lectures or workshops. However, students will have ample opportunity to participate in the discussions following each presentation.
