| Inhalt | This course is designed to give master of laws students a broad overview of theories of justice in allocation and several areas of international law relating to the use of resources. Beginning with a study of the various philosophical approach to questions of fairness and property rights, the course continues by looking at the international legal principles affecting the distribution and use of natural and financial resources, and those regulating the treatment of international labor. Students need to have a solid background in general international law and excellent English. Familiarity with economic principles is helpful but not necessary. Class participation is required, and students will be expected to prepare for and engage in the weekly discussions. Readings are relatively heavy -- but extremely interesting!! |
