Inhalt | The course focuses on the practical application of European Law. The students advice a client in a ficticios case (European Law Moot Court 2017/2018) and draft their arguments in written pleadings for proceedings in front of the European Court of Justice. Throughout the seminar the students are guided by their course coach as regards method, argumentation and general aspects of European Law. The seminar seeks to involve students of all levels of European Law and is based on group work. Out of the seminar participants the best suited students are selected to participate in the “European Law Moot Court Competition”. |
Lernziele | Participants are able to research EU law and work intensively and effectively in groups on a fictional case. Participants gain confidence in presenting and defending an argument in writing and spoken prensentations. |
Literatur | - The Moot Court case, upon which the course is based, is due to be published on 1st September 2017 under www.europeanlawmootcourt.eu. - Other materials will be discussed and partly distributed in class and uploaded on the ADAM-server. - Own research |
Bemerkungen | This seminar serves as preparation for the advanced course LV 35157! Important note: Participants of the first part (LV 19032) that are interested to join the advanced part (LV 35157) have to enroll for this on MOnA within delay as course registration is prerequisite for obtaining credit points!
