| Inhalt | This year, “Research Projects in Cultural Anthropology” will start with the exploration of important contemporary social theory and key texts from the so-called recent turns in social sciences such as the ontological turn, the affective turn, Actor-Network Theory and the perseveration of the “French Theory”. From our initial discussion and the students’ interests, we will combine further readings on new trends in anthropology such as morality, intersectionality, digital ethnography, political economy, postcolonial theory, etc. There will be debates about the politics of writing, and creative/critical thinking. Furthermore, students will be encouraged to suggest relevant topics for the instructor to then find experts in those areas to speak in class. |
| Lernziele | “Research Projects in Cultural Anthropology” is a teaching unit dedicated to discussing and deepening the examination of various issues, questions and problems met by MA students at any stage (from those starting their MA studies to those writing their theses). This teaching unit is aimed to be versatile enough to match MA student attendees current interests and questions and to be a space for deepening themes and topics addressed in the course "Einführung in die Forschungsprozesse“. |
| Bemerkungen | Leistungen, die während der Einschreibung zum Masterstudium erbracht werden, können bei einem Übertritt ins Doktorat nicht übertragen und für das Doktorat angerechnet werden. |
| Teilnahmebedingungen | Doktorand/innen aus einer anderen Universität oder einer fachverwandten Disziplin, die als Gast teilnehmen möchten, stellen vorgängig ihre Anfrage an die Dozierenden. |
