| Inhalt | A large part of neglected tropical diseases are parasitic infections. The course provides an introduction to practical parasitology. Parasites of all medically important groups are included, as well as malaria. The course will focus on practical work at the microscope. |
| Lernziele | To understand and explain life cycle of most important parasites of medical importance, and to be able to identify diagnostic stages of medically important parasites using a microscope. |
| Bemerkungen | Methods: Short lectures on life cycles of parasites of medical importance are followed by practical work on the parasites and their identification by microscopy. |
