| Inhalt | Langage et sport : rendre compte de l’action sportive Burak Tekin, Laurent Camus Ce séminaire portera sur le lien entre langage et sport. Il s’intéressera en particulier aux modalités par lesquelles des participants rendent compte de l’action sportive dans différents contextes, qu’il s’agisse des sportifs dans le cours de leur activité, d’arbitres exerçant leur jugement ou de médias décrivant l’action en train de se faire. Ce séminaire propose d’investiguer le lien fructueux entre l’action sportive et le langage en considérant le langage non pas simplement dans sa dimension référentielle mais aussi dans sa dimension praxéologique et incarnée, dans une démarche s’inscrivant dans les pas de l’ethnomothodologie et de l’analyse conversationnelle. Une série de thèmes seront développés lors de ce séminaire, tels que le rôle des instructions et des évaluations dans l’accomplissement de la performance sportive, le jugement arbitral en action, les interactions entre spectateurs de sport, le commentaire sportif à la télévision ou les pratiques de mise en images du sport. Chaque séance articulera une question théorique à des analyses empiriques de données vidéo collectées par les organisateurs du séminaire. Ouvert aux étudiants de Bachelor et de Master, le séminaire sera bilingue, français-anglais, et rendra nécessaire la compréhension de ces deux langues. Langage and Sport : accounting for sports action Burak Tekin, Laurent Camus This seminar will focus on the interrelation between language and sport. It will examine in particular on the practices through which participants account for sports action in different contexts, for instance, athletes in the course of their physical activities, referees exercising their judgment or journalists describing action. This seminar adopts an ethnomothodological and conversational analytic approach. It will investigate the fruitful link between sports action and language by considering language not merely in its referential dimension but also in its praxeological and embodied dimension. During this seminar, a series of themes will be developed, such as the role of instructions and assessments in the accomplishment of sports action, referee judgments in action, interactions between sports spectators, sports commentaries on TV or practices of live TV broadcasting of sport. Each session will articulate a theoretical question to empirical analyzes of video data collected by the seminar organizers. The seminar is open to bachelor's and master's students. The courses will be given and French and English, and it will be necessary for participants to understand both languages. |
