| Inhalt | ◾uncertainty and variability (types of data, visualization and summary statistics that depends on types of data) ◾source of variability ◾simple experiment designs (maximizing information and improving reproducibility) ◾sample size calculation follows the experiment design ◾appropriate data analysis follow the experiment design, focus on linear models particularly the ANOVA families ◾presentation/reporting. |
| Lernziele | This 2-day course is intended for doctorate students and post-doctorates from any discipline who are not expert in statistics but are interested in how to think statistically and how to implement basic and good statistics |
| Bemerkungen | Die Veranstaltung findet ausschliesslich ONLINE statt. Dr Bernadetta Tarigan (statistical-coaching.ch). Throughout the course we will apply lectures, exercises and interactive group discussions on the topics. Mandatory home assignments is part of the course. Participants will put their hands-on for data description and analysis with the widely used statistics software R. Participant shall bring their own notebook with an installation of R and R-Studio.
