Inhalt The main objective of this seminar is to write a research proposal for your master's thesis. Hence, this seminar is a pre-requisite for writing a master's thesis in behavioral marketing.

Note that the mandatory prerequisites for writing a master's thesis in behavioral marketing are:
1. Microeconomics and Psychology of Decision Making (31960)
2. Econometrics (12036)
3. Psychological Theory of Consumer Behavior as pre-requisite (43498)
4. This Seminar (31953)

Note that Consumer Behavior is not a pre-requisite for writing a thesis in behavioral marketing, nor for being admitted to this seminar, but taking it would help you write a better thesis.

Bemerkungen We will meet in class only on two dates, attendance being mandatory:
Kick off meeting: March 10, 2021, 14h15 bis 18h as an online meeting
Presentations: June 2, 2021, 14h15 bis 18h30.

Teilnahmebedingungen To get admitted to 31953-01 you must have passed the following lectures:
· 31960 Microeconomics and Psychology of Decision Making
· 12036 Econometrics
· If you have so far not passed course 43498 Psychological Theory of Consumer Behavior, you would need to register for it and attend it during the same term when taking 31953-01.

This includes coursework in marketing, psychology, or econometrics/statistics. Hence, you should apply with a list of relevant courses and grades.

The master’s theses in this area are all empirical, and typically experimental. We presuppose that by the time you take this course (31953-01) you have learned to subject your raw data to basic statistical analyses, such as, ANOVA or multiple regression. You are free to use any standard software (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS).
