| Inhalt | Contract theory deals with the design of economic institutions that are aimed at solving incentive and information problems. The lecture provides an introduction to moral hazard models and to the theory of mechanism design. |
| Lernziele | The students know important concepts and results of the theory of moral hazard and mechanism design, and they are prepared to independently study the vast literature in economics that makes use of these concepts. |

| Hinweise zur Leistungsüberprüfung | written exam: 09.06.22; 17:00-18:30; DSBG Sporthalle: A-Z. For this exam you will still receive additional information by email. You would have to be on site at least 20 minutes before the exam starts. The addresses of the examination rooms can be found here: https://wwz.unibas.ch/de/studium/pruefungen/vorlesungs-und-pruefungsraeume/ The exam is scheduled in presence. If entrance checks are necessary for the exam due to Covid protection measures, the start of the exam may still be delayed by up to 30 minutes. In case COVID-19 protective measures prevent examination on site, the faculty reserves the right to conduct the examination electronically during the same time slot. |
