| Inhalt | The verse novel is a lively and wide-ranging genre in contemporary Anglophone literature. We will study three verse novels as an introduction to this thriving genre. |
| Lernziele | In-depth study of three verse novels and their reception. |
| Literatur | The following books are required for the course: - Anne Carson, "Autobiography of Red" (1998) - Les Murray, "Fredy Neptune" (1999) - C. Dale Young, "The Halo" (2016) The books are available at the Labyrinth bookstore, Nadelberg 17, Basel. Selected secondary literature on the three books will be provided by the instructor. |
