Inhalt | The main objective of this seminar is to write a research proposal for your master's thesis. Hence, this seminar is a pre-requisite for writing a master's thesis in behavioral marketing. Note that the mandatory prerequisites for writing a master's thesis in behavioral marketing are: 1. Microeconomics and Psychology of Decision Making (31960) 2. Econometrics (12036) 3. Psychological Theory of Consumer Behavior as pre-requisite (43498) 4. This Seminar (31953) Note that Consumer Behavior is not a pre-requisite for writing a thesis in behavioral marketing, nor for being admitted to this seminar, but taking it would help you write a better thesis. |
Bemerkungen | We will meet in class only on two dates, attendance being mandatory: Kick off meeting: March 10, 2021, 14h15 bis 18h as an online meeting Presentations: June 2, 2021, 14h15 bis 18h30. |

Teilnahmevoraussetzungen | To get admitted to 31953-01 you must have passed the following lectures: · 31960 Microeconomics and Psychology of Decision Making · 12036 Econometrics · If you have so far not passed course 43498 Psychological Theory of Consumer Behavior, you would need to register for it and attend it during the same term when taking 31953-01. Should there be too much demand, we will admit students based on their performance in the above courses, and based on whether they have taken other relevant courses, undergraduate or graduate. This includes coursework in marketing, psychology, or econometrics/statistics. Hence, you should apply with a list of relevant courses and grades. The master’s theses in this area are all empirical, and typically experimental. We presuppose that by the time you take this course (31953-01) you have learned to subject your raw data to basic statistical analyses, such as, ANOVA or multiple regression. You are free to use any standard software (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS). |
