| Inhalt | Within the study program of MSD 2017, students have to register 3 times in a 'master's thesis colloquium'. This colloquium is the third and last one (= colloquium C). The participants present the results of their master's theses. They prepare their presentations (of 10') in a way that is accessible to an interdisciplinary audience, focus on the relation of their research questions to sustainable development and the fit between these questions and the results of their theses. The presentation is followed by 5' for questions of understandig. Details according to program of each meeting, sent out around 10 days beforehand. |
| Lernziele | The students learn - to present research questions and a research results to an interdisciplinary audience; - to place their research questions in an appropriate sustainability context; - to discuss research questions and results from other disciplines; - to provide constructive feedback to their fellow students. |
| Bemerkungen | Schedule spring semester 2025 - all dates are mandatory and all participants must be available for these dates!!! The meetings will start at 14.15h (exception for meeting 2: 15.15h), the duration depends on the number of presentations: Meeting 1: 28.02.25; meeting 2: 25.04.25; meeting 3: 16.05.25 (only presentations of results), meeting 4: 23.05.25 (only presentations of concepts), meeting 5: 06.06.25 (only if necessary). Details regarding duration of each meeting are published with the program usually sent out around 10 days before the colloquia take place. The lecture is offered by the MSD. Prof. Dr. Alejandra Morán Ordóñez (as of 01.02.2025), Prof. Dr. Janina Grabs and Prof. Dr. Frank Krysiak (lead of this course) are members of the MSD teaching committee. |
| Teilnahmevoraussetzungen | Only for students of the MSD who are already able to present the results of the master's theses. The theses have to be completed at least up to 80% or may have already been submitted prior to the final presentation. |
| Anmeldung zur Lehrveranstaltung | Course enrollment on online services should be completed by the beginning of the teaching period (withdrawal possible until Monday of teaching week five). Exclusively for MSD-students who have to present the results of the MSD master's thesis. No other students admitted. Presenters have to register for a presentation. There is a link for this "poll" in the ADAM folder of this colloquium (access only for students enrolled in this course). For prerequisits see "Admission requirements". |

| Hinweise zur Prüfung | Compulsory attendance on site, in presence. Oral presentation of 10' minutes, followed by questions (5') and a group discussion. The presentations are to be uploaded on ADAM by the presenters until Wednesday/noon before Friday of the presentation. Presenters have to register for a presentation, for details see section "course application". |
