| Inhalt | This seminar, following the lecure course, seeks to understand history and urban change as reflected in recent South African and Namibian fiction. At stake are Marlene Van Niekerk, TRIOMF, Imraan Coovadia, HIGH LOW IN-BETWEEN, Damon Galgut, THE GOOD DOCTOR, Jacob Dlamini, NATIVE NOSTALGIA, Rayda Jacobs, ONE CITY MANY CULTURES, and Neshandi Andreas, THE PURPLE VIOLET OF OSHAANTU as well as a view into Thomas Pynchon, GRAVITY'S RAINBOW, V, (on the genocide of the Hereros in Namibia). Next to these primary sources we will look into Bruno Arich-Gerz, NAMIBIAS POSTKOLONIALISMEN (with a guest lecture by B. Arich-Ganz). |
