| Inhalt | In this seminar, advanced MA and PhD students will write their own project proposal according to the Swiss National Science Foundation guidelines for project funding, based on their current research plans. The participants will learn about the perspective of the funding agencies, and they will benefit from comments and insights provided by fellow PhD students and the course convenors. At the end of the seminar, participants will have produced a reviewed and edited project proposal based on the SNSF guidelines. This work-intensive seminar will be held in German and English. |
| Lernziele | By the end of this seminar, students will be - familiar with the process of SNSF proposal writing; - aware of some of the pitfalls and important elements to consider; and - in possession of a project proposal relating to their advanced research plans. |
| Literatur | Literature will be made available online throughout the semester. |
| Teilnahmevoraussetzungen | Submission of a one-page summary of the planned project proposal by 12 February to robin.samuel@unibas.ch. The planned research proposal must contain an empirical component (qualitative or quantitative). Participants will be selected based on the quality and feasibility of the submitted project outline. This course is primarily designed for PhD students and advanced MA students who intend to pursue a research career. |
