Inhalt | - A lecture-seminar-workshop format will be used (one hour lectures and two hours seminars). - A number of advanced analytical procedures will be introduced and their appropriateness relative to the various research designs will be discussed. - Examples will be introduced that show the unique design features to be considered in the planning and stages of a study so that specific methods can be employed during the analysis. - Qualitative analytical procedures will be practiced with data collected during the first course. - The course readings range from basic texts used in the first semester courses to more advanced readings and exercises. - This is not a statistics course! The applications of statistical procedures are discussed only when needed to understand a methodological procedure. In such situations, the conceptual meaning is emphasized rather than the calculation of statistical methods. |
