Inhalt | For the Fall Semester 2016, this course will mainly focus on recent developments in metal-catalyzed C-H bond functionalization to construction carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bonds, which has become a very important field of research in the last decade. Our research group has made important contribution to this field for the last 13 years. Methods that have the highest synthetic value will be selected, including concepts, mechanistic elements and applications to the synthesis of natural products and fine chemicals. The course will include exercises. |
Lernziele | - Learn emerging catalytic methods which already have an impact in academic and industrial synthesis; - understand key underlying concepts and mechanisms; - acquire new bond disconnections for the construction of fine chemicals. |
Literatur | Relevant literature references will be given in the course material. |
Bemerkungen | Download course material before the first lecture and take notes to complete it. Prepare exercises when required to. |
