| Inhalt | In this seminar, we focus on aspects of input processing and the role of the nature of the input. This has a cognitive as well as a social component: How does the mind filter and process information against the backdrop of existing knowledge in a first language? What type of interaction fosters the uptake and intake of information? How does this relate to the learner's age and proficiency? In a second step, we look at the situations that support learning, especially on those cues that help the learner to move forward. |
| Lernziele | Students learn about the relevant concepts in second language learning, and the different situations under which learning takes place. |
