| Inhalt | This interdisciplinary research lab invites student to reflect on different lenses that can be used in order to produce knowledge on selected objects and to think about the challenges of interdisciplinary research to deal with these problems. The specific object investigated by this seminar is the Southern Agricultural Growth Corridor of Tanzania (SAGCOT). The SAGCOT was launched by the Government of Tanzania in 2010 in order to enhance food security and reduce poverty through public-private partnerships. While we will look at the concrete, practial and solution oriented aspects of this growth corridor and discuss the role of agriculture for growth and well-being, we will also discuss the role of different disciplinary and interdisciplinary views when reflecting on processes on the ground. Diese Lehrveranstaltung wird von «Impuls» unterstützt. Impuls fördert Dozierende und Studierende, im Rahmen von Lehrveranstaltungen Projekte mit Bezug zu den Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) umzusetzen. Mit der Förderung durch Impuls sollen Studierende zu Change Agents für Nachhaltigkeit ausgebildet und dazu inspiriert und befähigt werden, diese Kompetenzen auch im späteren Berufsleben und im Privaten für eine Nachhaltige(re) Entwicklung einzusetzen. Die Förderung beinhaltet neben finanzieller Unterstützung unter anderem auch Mentoring für die Umsetzung der Studierendenprojekte und einen SDG-Workshop.
