Inhalt | THE COURSE IS OVERBOOKED - PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER ANYMORE We humans are storytellers. From childhood to old age we create and tell stories about ourselves, through stories we define who we are (narrative identity), we make sense of our experiences through creating coherence and linking past, present and future. We tell stories “to make meaning of life and our place within a larger social system” (Josselson, Hammack, 2021, p.4). Narratives thus offer a unique insight into human experience and in this course you learn how to explore them. In this exercise course we take a practical approach to narrative in theory and in method. You learn what a narrative approach is and we practice every step in the research process from the preparation and carrying out of a narrative interview to transcription and analysis. |
