| Inhalt | The objective of this course is to enable students to understand financial statements of single legal entities according to the IFRSs. Students will expand their technical proficiency in accounting for physical and financial transactions, and in the preparation of financial statements, thereby developing the conceptual understanding for the scope of the Standards, and the recognition and measurement of assets and liabilities. |

| Hinweise zur Prüfung | Each exam will consist of a combination of topics covered in the lecture (knowledge questions) and quizzes & cases (problem-solving abilities). Accepted documents & tools: simple calculator, pens and English dictionaries Midterm exam and final exam have equal weights (grades will be based on the arithmetic mean). Midterm examination: 08.04.25; 08:30-09:30. WWZ Audi: A-E; WWZ S13: F-L; WWZ S15: M-Z. End-of-term exam (on part 2): 24.06.25; 14:00-15:00. Depending on the number of students, the start of the exam may be moved forward or backward for 30 minutes. Examination rooms and start times will be published until 18 May 2025. You can still withdraw from the examination by submitting a completed, signed form to our office from 18.03.2025 until 28.03.2025 / 12:00 o’clock. The deregistration form and the mail address can be found on the homepage of the Dean of Studies Office: https://wwz.unibas.ch/en/studies/examinations/de-/registration-of-examinations/ Prior to 17.03.2025, please deregister only in the Online Services. Late deregistration is not possible for this course. If you do not wish to take part in the mid- and end-exam, please cancel your registration within the registration deadline. |
