Inhalt | The lectureship in Clinical Psychology and Translational Psychotherapy Research focuses on developing innovative treatment approaches by integrating insights from psychological basic research and related disciplines such as neuroscience and new technologies. Additionally, it aims to explore and assess new translational pathways to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice. A key aspect of this is the bidirectional flow of knowledge from research to clinical practice to ensure that research findings are applicable and disseminated in practice. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the field, most master projects are carried out with collaboration partners who co-supervise the work and offer Master's students the opportunity to network with other researchers or scientist-practitioners as part of their Master's thesis and benefit from a broader perspective. The projects under the umbrella of this Master's project cover a wide range of topics with different methodologies. Some focus on experimental studies or meta-analyses that investigate the translational potential of findings from basic research. Others aim to better understand the mechanisms of action underlying new interventions. Additionally, projects include the development and evaluation of new interventions, assessing their feasibility, efficacy, and effectiveness. Finally, others address the dissemination of current interventions to identify critical and current gaps in care provision and research in field. |
Lernziele | An overarching goal is to train students to think in an interdisciplinary and collaborative way and to recognize the relevance of basic research and data science skills for clinical practice and vice versa. |
