| Inhalt | The course leverages the richness of diversity in higher education at Swiss TPH by fostering mutual learning and promoting transdisciplinary collaboration. Participants from various academic and cultural backgrounds will engage in experiential learning, gaining first-hand insight into studying within an inclusive and supportive environment. Through critical reflection, students will assess the impact of implicit biases on their learning process and research approaches. Additionally, they will be encouraged to actively contribute to this collaborative setting by developing self-leadership skills, taking responsibility within team dynamics, and strengthening their intercultural competencies. By working in transdisciplinary teams to address complex challenges, students will cultivate the ability to integrate diverse perspectives into problem-solving. Beyond diversity, equity, and inclusion, the course emphasizes the significance of sustainability, One Health, Planetary Health as well as Global and Public Health, ensuring a holistic understanding of their relevance in the field of Epidemiology. |
| Lernziele | By the end of this course, students will be able to: • Understand and describe the fundamental principles of the Philosophy of science. • Analyze and apply epistemological concepts to the evolving landscape of knowledge, particularly in the context of generative AI. • Collaborate effectively within diverse, international, and multicultural teams to enhance their learning experience. • Develop competencies in self-leadership, active listening, and cultural sensitivity to navigate professional and academic environments. |
