Inhalt | This lecture explores the fundamental principles of color science and human color perception, bridging the gap between physics, biology, and cognitive sciences. We will examine the physical properties of light, color models, and how colors are digitally represented. Additionally, we will delve into the physiological and psychological aspects of color vision, including the role of the human eye, the brain's interpretation of color, and factors such as adaptation, contrast, and color constancy. A key focus will be on the application of color science in various fields, including imaging technologies, digital humanities, and artistic practices. We will also discuss historical and contemporary theories of color perception and their impact on scientific and creative disciplines. By the end of this lecture, participants will have a solid understanding of how color functions both as a physical phenomenon and a perceptual experience, equipping them with the knowledge to engage with color in digital and visual contexts critically. |
