| Inhalt | Drug Sciences cover a broad and highly dynamic spectrum of disciplines ranging from molecular and preclinical research, technical development, and clinical application to epidemiologic, ecologic and historic assessments. In order to provide students with an up-to-date insight into current topics in drug sciences, members of the faculty at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in collaboration with members of the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy of the University of Freiburg (Germany) as part of cross-border collaboration project invite local or international experts from academia, industry or clinics to give a presentation about their area of research/work. The general topic this year will be "Microbiomes: Sources of Novel Drug Leads and Next-Generation Therapeutics". |
| Lernziele | The seminar series aims at fostering the students' knowledge about and awareness of current and emerging areas related to the discovery, evaluation and application of microbiome-derived therapeutics. |
| Literatur | There is no script available for this seminar series. Individual speakers may provide literature recommendations during their presentation. Copies of the seminar slides are not automatically provided; participants may need to approach the speakers if they are interested in obtaining slide copies. |
| Bemerkungen | There will be a total of four seminars, three in Basel and one in Freiburg. Participants have to participate in all lectures in person (27.10. in Freiburg, 10.11., 24.11. & 8.12. in Basel) as well a travel to Freiburg on the 27.11 (travel fees by train will be covered). In addition, following the seminars on the 27.11 (in Freiburg) and 08.12. (in Basel), Apéros for discussions and networking with the speakers and students from Freiburg will be held (from ca. 6.15 - 7.45 pm). As the seminar series features external speakers, changes in the seminar schedule may occur. An up-to-date program of the series will be available on ADAM and relevant announcements will be made by email to all participants. |
