| Inhalt | This seminar introduces the foundations of quantitative research in the social sciences. Students will learn how to formulate research questions, develop and test hypotheses, evaluate data, and interpret statistical evidence. The course covers key concepts such as measurement, sampling, causality, and regression analysis, with a strong focus on understanding and critically assessing empirical research. No advanced mathematical background is required; the emphasis is on understanding the logic behind quantitative research and being able to understand and apply the most common methods. In addition, a tutorial introduces students to the practical application of quantitative methods using R. |
