Content “Ask a scientist about Hollywood, and you’ll probably get eye rolls. But ask someone in Hollywood about science, and they’ll see dollar signs: moviemakers know that science can be the source of great stories, with all the drama and action that blockbusters require”

We, scientists, have great stories, and we can learn to be ‘scientists-as-filmmakers’! In this course you will learn about camera, audio, lighting equipment, and how to use film editing software, together with how to write, design and carry out the basics of making a documentary.

Course program:
20 March 2023: Screenwriting & storyboard and Camera & lighting
21 March 2023: Filming short films
22 March 2023: Film editing
Learning objectives -Learn the basics of filmmaking theory (Storytelling, Storyboarding, Script-writing)
-Learn the basics of filmmaking practice (work with camera, light, sound)
-Prepare their own films
-Learning the basics of film analysis
Comments Canon & Sony cameras, tripods, different lighting and sound material, will be made available.

Admission requirements Number of Participants: Participation is limited to 12 people.
No prior knowledge required.
