Content | This course covers different types of optimization techniques. After an introduction to modelling, traditional numerical methods are introduced, including linear and non-linear programming, gradient based methods and simple iterative methods. Next, more recent methods are addressed that build on concepts from computational intelligence and evolutionary computing. On top, simulation and modelling issues are addressed. All of these methods are applied to relevant problem in economics and management. |
