Content | In this course we will consider the work of contemporary American poet and essayist Adrienne Rich. We will be concentrating on his work as a poet. |
Learning objectives | In-depth study of Rich's work will lead to discussions of social, historical, and political issues as well as of poetic form. |
Bibliography | Adrienne Rich, "The Fact of a Doorframe: Poems 1950-2001". Additional material will be provided by the instructor. |
Admission requirements | For English majors who have successfully completed their second-year courses in Literature and Culture Studies, and for others who have successfully completed an equivalent course of study in their fields. |
